Around 70% of the U.S. economy depends on consumer spending. As wealth concentrates in the richest 10%, the rest of America can’t afford to buy enough to keep the economy running.

This is a huge problem — and even America’s most powerful CEOs are starting to sound the alarm.

Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

They’ve had 15 years to come up with an alternative. They’ve had 15 years to get beyond “concepts of a plan.” They’ve had generations to find a modicum of concern for the heath of America. All they have demonstrated is a willful disdain for suffering.

These Ivy League institutions have amassed great wealth and prestige…and with that monetary and social capital, they used it to capitulate to authoritarianism.

It’s time for donors to move their money to institutions with courage.

Zohran Mamdani ran on freezing the rent in NYC.

Abigail Spanberger ran on supporting fired federal workers and lowering the cost of living in VA.

Mikie Sherrill ran on lowering utility bills in NJ.

Ensuring people can afford to live a decent life is the path forward.

The oligarchy came out in full force against Zohran Mamdani's fight for a more affordable NYC.

It didn't matter.

Let his victory in the face of Big Money serve as a reminder that people have the power.

Post-No Kings, this plus Noem’s private jets are giving off some very blatant “let them eat cake” vibes.
Oh you're trying to say the cost of living is skyrocketing?

Estimated about 10,000 people at the Naperville #NoKings rally. Both pastors who spoke said we can’t go back to the way things were. We need to build a better country for everyone. Tons of cute dogs. A bunch of us helped someone push their stalled car out of an intersection. It was great.
