I just don’t see how we can pretend even for a moment that anything involving our federal government is remotely normal when the president is covering up his involvement in a child sex trafficking ring. Like, what are we doing here

"Like everyone who loves books, Carson felt at once awed and aggrieved that there was more to read than could ever be read, and that to choose to read one book was to forsake the chance to read a different one."

Lovely sentiment about Rachel Carson from Souder's biography—she's clearly my kindred

I snorted when I read this headline, thinking I must have been reading "The Onion." But it's for real. Is there any sleaze-ball creep left in prison, or has DJT pardoned them all?

I’m actually coming around to the idea that the shut-down couldn’t be won by the Democrats because DJT is 🦇 💩 crazy and would set all of DC on fire if he saw any benefit to himself. But #fetterman needs to be replaced as soon as possible.
In terms of big disappointments, he gets honorable Manchin.

At this point I would have to agree with the first sentence. They certainly go on Fox about the same number of times each week. But as to the rest, I will have to disagree with this great political strategist.

I don't want to just primary #fetterman. I want to pants him. I want his utter shame and humiliation for betraying not just the PA voters who sent him to Washington to stand up for us, but for betraying the whole country. His vote hurts everyone.

Goddamn the old guard Democrats for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. We had them on their back foot, and #fetterman came along and offered who-knows-what in exchange for his vote. Judas, Brutus, Fetterman.

Is the 40 day thing intentional? Moses wandered in the desert for 40 days; it rained on Noah for 40 days. Someone please help me find out why people had to suffer for this. Make it make sense.

We’ve become a refuge for Nazis. Let that sink in.
You see that? How “far right” views are routinely re-packaged as “populist”?
A prominent far-right German activist has applied for political asylum in the U.S., as the Trump administration has signaled plans to prioritize protections for White refugees and Europeans who claim they are being targeted for their populist views.

State prisons in the U.S. that are massive systems of human rights violations.
