International solidarity more than just a chant. It’s how we will raise conditions for workers across borders without allowing the bosses to play us against each other. Few things make that more explicit than the story of what auto workers in Mexico have been dealing with—from their employers, from some of their unions, and from U.S. trade policy. The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), passed in 2020, was tasked with reviewing the implementation of Mexico’s labor reforms. But those reforms have proved challenging to implement, demonstrating the limits of legal solutions to problems that ultimately call for organizing. <div class="field field-field-text"><p data-testid="rich-text">Israeli settlers on Saturday poisoned a flock of sheep in the village of al-Mughayyir in the occupied West Bank, Palestinian media reported. </p>
<p data-testid="rich-text">The reports said that a toxic substance was thrown into the grazing area, after which dead sheep belonging to a local Palestinian shepherd were found at the site. </p>
<p data-testid="rich-text">Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that Israeli troops were present in the area and left shortly before signs of poisoning were discovered.</p>
<p data-testid="rich-text">The development comes amid reports of other attacks on farmers by Israeli settlers in the area.</p>
<p>The UN reported at least 260 settler attacks in the West Bank in October. </p>

<div class="field field-field-text"><p>The Colonisation and Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC) on Saturday said that the Israeli authorities seized more than one square kilometre of Palestinian land in the northern Jordan Valley by issuing 9 "seizure" orders.</p>
<p>The seizure orders were issued for military purposes in the towns of Tammun, Tayasir, Talouza, and Tubas, Wafa news reported. </p>
<p>The report said that the aim of the seizure was to pave a horizontal road starting from Ain Shibli to the south and reaching Aqaba to the north.</p>
<p>These orders constitute a single project to construct a wide road extending from the north of Tubas towards Tayasir and the Jordan Valley, with a continuous length of up to 22 kilometres, Al Jazeera reported. </p>

I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.
