More from Central Park today, on a warm fall Sunday afternoon. #centralpark #mapletree #citylife #fallinthecity

Central Park on one of what may be the last truly warm Sundays for a while. Been quite dry, so fall colors may dull before they turn... but not for these maple trees, who are going for it, rain or no rain.

A mural of the Statue of Liberty covering her eyes in shame was created by Dutch artist Judith de Leeuw. It is in a high population area of immigrants in France…!!!
She said ‘The values that the statue once stood for - freedom hope, the right to be yourself - have been lost for many’…!!!

Shameful.
It's incredible that neither the president nor VP was here. The politicization of all facets of American life is coming from the White House. No other American president would have failed to pay their respects. www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2025/...

Facts are a good thing. Fact checking is a good thing. Fact checking in real time is an excellent thing.
That’s right. Cut this lying lunatic off!

Every self-respecting news network should cut Trump off and fact-check him in real time. MSNBC did it right!

The number of trees slaughtered by the primaries' advertising in NYC must'a contributed to another full degree in global warming. Sheesh! All of you who ran in the primaries - Weeeks of glossy quadruplicates of daily card-stock stuff. Why, people, WHY? So much waste! #SaveThePlanet #PrimariesNYC

MUST SEE: Congresswoman Schrier nails conspiracy theorist and unfortunate HHS Secretary, RFK Jr., on the value of vaccines—and it’s glorious.

Schrier also happens to be the first pediatrician in Congress.

And this is the man making decisions about your access to care, what medications you can get, what vaccines will be available to you, and pushing outright baseless reports with false references and skewed results as 'facts' to support his clearly uninformed theories. SMH
💰 WATCH: “How is that happening?” 🤷🏼‍♂️

@aoc.bsky.social informs a confused RFK Jr. that his own HHS is stuffing the pockets of insurance companies by doubling the rates taxpayers pay them even as they defraud us. 🤔

Yep. Is hot.
Take good care of you, and ... check on your vulnerable neighbors, please. Some of us can manage the heat better than others. Be kind, as we New Yorkers, contrary to misguided lore, really know how.

RFK JR: All of the foundational assertions in that report are accurate

Ruiz: How can they be accurate if they did not exist?

Because we need some REAL happy heroes around here. Look, he's got ID, no mask, and did a REAL job protecting people. That tail wag, though! Happy retirement, Ando!
This is Ando. He's been a high-risk explosives detection dog for 6 years, and last week he celebrated his final day on the job. His coworkers threw him a surprise retirement party by showering him with dummies, a special reward that detection dogs are trained to love. 14/10 congratulations Ando

We can see so far into the universe ... And it is beautiful and (for me, at least) beyond comprehension. May we learn to see better those who are right next to us, all sharing this one blue marble as it hurtles through space...
