The SAVE act would require most voters to have a passport to vote. A passport costs $165. Voting should never be too expensive for the poor.

Right now, the savviest thing a Democratic politician can possibly do is to publicly demonstrate a willingness to violate both norms and decorum.

White Americans believe the world is basically safe. Park rangers keep the bears and the tourists separated. Cliffs have barricades. There’s a warning sign for dangers, and the coffee is never supposed to be hot enough to burn you. We are still in the “this can’t possibly be happening here “ phase.

I’d like to announce my forthcoming US history book, covering a decisive but tumultuous era in that country’s history, titled “The trade policies of the United States: 10:30 am to 1:30 pm on Friday, March 7, 2025” It will be 400 pages.

This may be his Reichstag Fire. Release Chauvin and the country explodes. If Martial Law is the endgame, this will do it.
Elon Musk shared a call from conservative political commentator Ben Shapiro urging Trump to pardon Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted in the 2020 killing of George Floyd.

Remember, there’s nothing stopping you from writing from the perspective of Smokey the Bear.

“Tried hibernating mid-Tuesday, but apparently, I’m still expected to answer emails in my cave. Rude.”

Saw this suggestion for the Democrats and I feel like it’s worth pushing for. Shadow Press Conference. Every day. What is the administration doing? What is the resistance response? All press welcomed.

Can we all demand that the Democratic leadership email us a weekly list of WTF they’ve done this week?

It’s nice that they put up little signs downtown to tell you exactly what official vehicles are allowed to park there. #justsaying

Mother Mary, she ride on a donkey.

Lord Jesus, he ride on the cross.

Mick Jagger, he ride on a Concorde Jet,

and a Rolling Stone gathers no moss.

In all the madness of the current news cycle, I somehow missed the death of Tom Robbins. “Jitterbug Perfume” and “Another Roadside Attraction “ were foundational for me. I wouldn’t quite be who I am, and I certaintly wouldn’t have lived quite the same life, without his books.
