would like to urge my Fellow Americans to not fall for the Tom Homan is a cuddly grandpa or even an “adult in the room” when he puts on the readers, as I’m sure some maga propagandist is trying to put forth. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

There’s like 130K immigrants in MN, right? So it’s not a “crackdown.” It is not a crackdown. Please help me come up with different, more accurate words to describe the situation. Thank you
January 29, 2026 at 3:00 PM
@npr.org It’s time for an editorial policy change on “immigration crackdown.” When Americans are being gunned down, the term is no longer even pretending to describe reality. Sincerely, a loyal 📻 listener

@npr.org I’m listening live 📻📻to your top of the hour newscast. Why are you not reporting from MN on the general strike? Stop 🛑 carrying water for Vance in his propaganda/ disinformation campaign. Sincerely, a sustaining listener of 3 separate stations. Love U 💕

Can anyone at @npr.org comment with reasoning for failing to air Jack Smith live today? The public is owed the chance to hear this. Extremely disappointed in the decision not to. Extremely

I feel so bad for Geoff Bennett when he has to normalize fascism by interviewing liars from the Hudson Institute (right wing “think tank “) on the leading story of the nightly news. #PBSNewsHour

He's calling for ICE to be abolished on The View
Mamdani: I am in support of abolishing ICE… I'm tired of waking up every day and seeing a new image of someone being dragged out of a car, dragged out of their home, dragged out of their life.

#PBS is airing a series #BreakingTheDeadlock to debate issues; this evening Choice and Life. The 2 staunch choice advocates Michelle Goodwin and Dr. Gunter were silenced by the Heritage Foundation guy & no one stopped him. It’s not debate, it’s a platform for right wingers. Gross

Let’s have some clarification @npr.org @pbsnews.org on Greenland and NATO. We’re hearing about the Mad King and his correspondence. Can we get discussion on the what consequences we in the U.S. can expect if he manages to do as he threatens please. On air. Starting tomorrow? Tyvm

NPR 9am Saturday news is already sanitizing the ICE execution of a legal observer in Minneapolis with that same passive language the NYTimes has been using to excuse the war crimes by Israel against 🇵🇸.

The Pope is right. American Christians who are not saying this today ought to be ashamed.
Pope Leo said in a Christmas Eve sermon that the story of Jesus being born in a stable because there was no room at an inn should remind Christians that refusing to help the poor and strangers today is tantamount to rejecting God himself. www.reuters.com/world/pope-l...
Pope Leo, on Christmas Eve, says denying help to poor is rejecting God
Leo has made care for immigrants and the poor key themes of his early papacy.

Netflix costs $20/month for no ads. Netflix is trying to buy a whole azz studio with cash. This will cost industry jobs and affect residuals for artists. Quit them and give that money to PBS. Or keep some and buy a DVD player. But give to PBS. Link in comments. Netflix sucks. Remain Bless

New Genre Suggestion: Spicy Ralph Nader Fanfic. Still from the new film ‘WTO 99.’ Plots could include: what happens if the people won the Battle of Seattle, if Nader beat Bush in 2000, cozy nights with the monotone populist ideologue, hot leftist nerds…🤣💕🌹🤩😎🥰 #booksky 📚💙

Anyone complaining about the health effects of “ultra-processed” foods who isn’t also concerned by global poverty, climate change, HIV, Tuberculosis, the abrupt ripping away of USAID funding: You’re not fooling anyone. Pack up your table and go home.

I love that the alcohol lobby (there’s an alcohol lobby?!) managed to sway Senators to support banning hemp but no existing lobby (health insurance, hospitals, churches) can even get the attention of same Senators to support Medicaid or SNAP to keep poor and disabled Americans safe, fed and healthy.
