My cards are worthless to most. But the memories and relationships I’ve built by collecting them are invaluable to me. This page is about collecting “worthless” cards, having fun, reliving memories and building new ones. Also, I'm a Detroit sports fan.
I feel kind of bad for Jonathan Vilma. For the rest of his life, he's going to have to live with the fact that he had the opportunity to interview the President and used it to try to shoehorn in two 67 jokes. Should've tried to get him to do a Harlem Shake video while he was at it. #NFL #Lions

See? Told you.
Here's the truth: It's well past time for the Detroit Lions to bring back the silver pants.

Between the Detroit Lions and the Detroit Tigers, I've come to hate the trade deadline.

Sure am hoping we get to see Max Clark in Detroit sometime next year. Such an athletic player. Fun to watch. #Detroit #Tigers #CardSky

Rest of the Tigers: 4-for-46, 0 RBI.

What's the point of even having good starting pitchers anymore? At least try to win the game, A.J.

Received my most recent purchase in the mail today. 2000 Fleer Greats of the Game George Kell. Hand signed on the card. Cool autographed card of a Hall of Fame Detroit Tigers player and broadcaster. When I was a kid, it was Kell and Al Kaline calling games on TV. Now that was a team! #CardSky

Just realized the card show I was planning on attending in October at UCF is the same weekend I'm taking my daughter on a college visit (not at UCF, though). So I bought an inexpensive card on eBay. #CardSky

We're going to be talking about this Detroit Tigers collapse 40 years from now just like we're still talking about the Tigers' epic comeback to win the AL East in 1987. Doyle Alexander > Charlie Morton. #Tigers

Following the lead of @jpesq.bsky.social and changing up my Tigers display. Changed out every card. New school players plus old school legends. And my pic of the church next to the CoPa ca. 2003. Gotta start getting some wins. This is my version of shaving the beard like Riley did a while back.

I've been a Detroit sports fan my entire life. I'm getting 1987 flashbacks. Only this time, we're the Blue Jays. #Tigers

I can't remember when I got this 1964 Topps Bill Freehan card, but I've always loved it. Freehan was a hometown guy who was a legend in Detroit. Great defensive backstop who also hit 200 HRs. '68 World Series champion. Fun pic with teammates relaxing against the fence behind him. #CardSky #Tigers

This is an interesting card in my collection. I bought it about 15 years ago, I'd guess. Would this be considered a sketch card? It isn't drawn on this actual card itself. Somebody drew Al Kaline and inserted a penny into the card. Thought it was interesting. #CardSky #Kaline #Tigers #CustomCard

'86 O-Pee-Chee and Topps Kirk Gibson is one of my favorite cards. Love the pic. Big swing, veins on neck popping out. Tiger stadium in the background. Always loved the English and French language on O-Pee-Chee and Leaf cards. #CardSky #thehobby #Detroit #Tigers

Would have loved to have seen a young Reggie Jackson in a home run swing-off to decide the All-Star Game back in the day. His moonshot off the transformer at Tiger Stadium is legendary. #CardSky #thehobby #Topps #Athletics #Oakland

I really like this 1958 Topps All-Star Stan Musial card. It's my only card of Stan The Man. My dad grew up in East Alton, Illinois, just across the river from St. Louis, and he and his older brother would go see Musial play at Sportsman's Park. #CardSky #thehobby #cardinals #Topps

In honor of the home run derby, I'm posting 1 of 2 graded cards in my collection. 1964 Topps A.L. Bombers, featuring Hall of Famers Mickey Mantle and Al Kaline, 1961 batting champ Norm Cash (w/ 377 career homers) and Roger Maris (61 HRs in '61 was 1-season record for 37 years). #cardsky #thehobby

The #Tigers Sweet Lou Whitaker is one of my all-time favorite players. But I have no idea why I have 57 1984 Topps All-Set cards of him. Had to send away for these cards, I think. Guessing the guys at Hawaiian Brothers Baseball Cards gave them to me, but I don't remember. #CardSky #thehobby
