It was a privilege to lay a wreath at the memorial in Swinton today

We paused today to honour the courage and sacrifice of all who served and gave their lives in the pursuit of peace.

We will remember them.

I joined local councillors and members of our community in Irlam this morning and Astley this afternoon to honour and remember those from #WorsleyAndEccles, across the UK and the Commonwealth who served and sacrificed.

A moving reminder of the courage and dedication of so many.

We’re updating what children learn at school so they’re ready for the modern world.

That means strong foundations, plus new skills like spotting fake news online and understanding money, and access to arts and sport.

Remembering the 97 lives lost at Hillsborough in 1989 and the families who never gave up on justice.

The Hillsborough Law had its second reading yesterday, introducing accountability, a duty of candour, and support for families.

I am proud to back this Bill.

Welcome to #WheelersWeekly!

This week, we've seen key Government legislation pass become law, I've been continuing my campaign alongside local councillors in #WorsleyAndEccles to protect our Green Belt, and I've shaved off my beard to for Movember!

Let’s catch up. 👇

This Movember, I'm growing a mo (the harder part was shaving off my beard!) to raise money and awareness of men's health.

Whether it's male suicide, mental health, or cancer, men don't talk anywhere near enough. If you'd like to support:

This week, Labour’s game-changing Renters’ Rights Act became law, marking the start of a new era of fairness and security for renters.

Don’t listen to the naysayers, this is a massive win for tenants.

"She said the quiet bit out loud".

We can debate policy, and have different ideas, but we must call out racism when it's right in front of us.

Well said Wes.

Welcome to #WheelersWeekly!

This week I’ve been out across #WorsleyAndEccles, speaking with residents, listening to your concerns, and working together to protect our Green Belt in Astley & Boothstown.

From local meetings to big national updates, here’s what I’ve been up to. 👇

One of my favourite parts of being an MP is meeting young people across #WorsleyAndEccles, so it was great to welcome students & staff from Eccles College to Parliament yesterday. We talked about transport, jobs and lots more.

A big thank you to everyone at for coming to visit!

The first week back in Westminster after recess included time in the House, meetings, and visits to local businesses and community groups in #WorsleyAndEccles.

Today we’re celebrating #NationalAlbumDay. This year's theme is Rock, celebrating artists who have shaped the genre.

My pick is The Remote Part by Idlewild. My team’s favourites include: Stoosh, Is This It, In Rainbows & A Night at the Opera👇

This week in the House of Commons, I raised the concerns of Astley residents about the four warehouses being built close to homes and a primary school.

Many feel the consultation was not good enough, and I called for stronger requirements to ensure local voices are heard.

I'm horrified by the attack on worshippers at a synagogue in Manchester.

My thoughts are with the victims, their families and the wider Jewish community at this difficult time.

I stand in full solidarity with Jewish people in #WorsleyAndEccles and across the country.

I worked to improve people's pay and security before I was an MP and as one, I'm proud to have kept up that work.

It's so important to everything we do and I'm not going to stop now.
Everyone deserves the pay and security that comes with having a guaranteed hours contract, that's why @mwheelermp.bsky.social is backing the New Deal for Working People in full! #Lab25

Big news for Peel Green! £20 million over 10 years through @UKLabour’s Pride in Place Programme.

Since being elected as the MP for #WorsleyAndEccles, my focus has been on making this community a good place to live. Now that work is paying off.

Real investment. Real change. 👇

Last week, we urged the Lib Dems not to try to weaken the #EmploymentRightsBill.

It was hugely disappointing that they joined forces with the Tories and Reform last night to do just that. Fortunately, this Labour Government stood firm and is delivering the Bill.
Today I, with other members of the @usdawunion.bsky.social Parliamentary Group, wrote to Lib Dem MPs calling on them to help undo the damage Lib Dem and Tory Lords did to the #EmploymentRightsBill.

People in this country deserve security at work and guaranteed hours is part of that.

As I travel back to Parliament this morning, I'm preparing for the #EmploymentRightsBill to return from the Lords.

They've watered it down and we can't let them. Here's what's happened and why it's so important Labour delivers for working people 👇
