This thread is shocking 🤬🤬
1. The defendant not being produced at court from prison. 🚚

A classic. It happens due to the private contractors simply not bothering, knowing that the contracts negotiated by government include no meaningful penalty for failure.

Trials every day in every court are affected.

Whaaaaat, more looting due to privatisation, surely not 🤬🤬

Budget 2025.

The wealthy hardly hit.

Minor tweaks on dividend and mansion tax.
No wealth tax.
No alignment of taxes on dividends & capital gains tax with taxation of wages.
Partnerships won't pay NIC on partners' share of profits
No financial transactions tax.

Lobbying and political donations pay

Another opportunity for mates to loot taxes
PFI is just borrowing by another name, but with key differences in structure, cost, and accounting treatment that make it more expensive.

Got to love this. Shame US, UK and other countries can’t stop criminals taking over their politics, and don’t prosecute them when they leave. Standards in Public Life should be law, not some wishy washy self regulation which is ignored when they leave office 🤬🤬

Do it, it’s about time these foreign shills get ousted from our politics 🤬
🚨The Petition calling for a public inquiry into Russian influence on UK politics & democracy has now rocketed past 55,000 signatures! Let’s get it to 100,000. If a petition is what it’s going to take let’s get this done!

So now the BBC apologises for editing speeches, hardly a crime, especially as they’re only reporting the 🍊 🌮 inciting violence in his own words. Presumably they’ll also apologise to everyone they ever interviewed and edited. Give me strength 🤦🏼‍♀️🙄
Rather than accept an apology from the BBC, Trump appears determined to use the organization’s disarray to his own maximum financial and political advantage. After Davie and Turness resigned, he said they were gone “because they were caught ‘doctoring’ my very good (PERFECT!) speech of January 6th.”

Suspended for corruption? Surely sacked would be more just, especially as they’re probably repeat offenders. If you don’t get caught, keep going eh??

b. Commit suicide by improbable means
c. Get Shived
d. None of the above

And mostly have more money than they can ever spend. Shareholders loot profits, and never bail out the companies when they need support, they just syphon profits away, and leave our utilities debt ridden
Having Energy sold at cost would save the UK £1,000 per household and be a massive boon to the economy.

Instead you pay £30bn extra which goes almost entirely to people who don't live, pay tax or spend money in the UK.

Worth reading 👏🏽👏🏽
“People warned each other, and evacuated. Firefighters arrived and used their tools to put out the blaze.

In other words, everyone behaved in precisely the opposite way they’ve reacted to the fire that’s begun to consume the earth.” – @billmckibben.bsky.social

By taxing unearned income and targeting obscene wealth hoarders such as the squillionaires?
Rachel Reeves: "Inflation falling is good news for families and businesses, but there's more to do to get prices down.

That's why at the Budget next week I will make the fair choices to cut NHS waiting lists, cut national debt and cut the cost of living."

What’s most interesting from this for me is that it’s less than 40,000
“How many refugees have been granted asylum in the UK?”

Most people overestimate the number - by a lot. With far-right figures spreading misinformation, it’s hard for the public to know the truth.

Watch the video to see just how wide the gap is between perception and reality.

Private companies operating care services in just three regions of England made £250m profits in 3 years,

£87.7m of profits went to care providers owned by private equity controlled from tax havens.

Profits mean money buys less. Higher taxes for less service.

Say NO to privatisation.
