Tonight's to my cousin Sadia!

She had schizophrenia and was struggling with mental health! Last week she went missing and we found her in a morgue today.

Rest well and in peace my dear sister! This world was cruel to you. Rest well! Will look out for you in the skies!

New Nature article: all carbon intensity reductions (good!) have been offset by economic growth.

It's almost like perpetual growth is the root cause of, instead of the answer to, our global predicament.
Mitigation efforts to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and meet the Paris Agreement have been offset by economic growth - Communications Earth & Environment
Global carbon dioxide intensity declined from 2015 to 2024 following the Paris Agreement, but total emissions still increased due to economic growth, according to a global analysis of population, gros...

I don't think it's even up for debate that artists have done FAR more for humanity than politicians could ever dream of doing.

Months back I visited a monastery in the south-east. Other Buddha statues were on the alter.
But this one was on the side standing in the dark, yet smiling!

They turned on the light for me so that I can take a photo. But I liked the Buddha in the dark. On whose smile shadows recite mystery chants.

We have truly not yet figured out how to cope with a person or institution that is "aware" of climate change, "accepts the science", but then decides to continue actively worsening it anyway

We don't even have a word or a phrase for this!

Mark Carney’s climate inaction is at odds with his awareness of climate change’s existential threat
Climate action no longer seems to be a priority for Prime Minister Mark Carney, despite his previous activism. This is bad news for Canadians and the climate.

Globally, 80% of people want their countries to take stronger climate action, and over half think about climate change daily or weekly.

Far from being split, humanity is largely united on wanting to do more.

But how can we help move the needle? Find out: go.wri.org/climate-choi...

Can AI and robotics help us in many ways? I am not a Luddite — I believe they can.

But we must make sure these new technologies benefit all of us, not just a handful of billionaires.

I hope you'll take a few minutes to read my op-ed in Fox News. Let’s start the debate.
SEN SANDERS: AI must benefit everyone, not just a handful of billionaires
Billionaires like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos invest billions in AI and robotics that could eliminate millions of jobs while increasing corporate profits at workers' expense.

After a gruelling few days of mountain climbing, jungle trekking, more climbing, and finally cave climbing, we came to the cave of humans.

Legend says this is where the secret of life is. A stairway of 1000 rock steps, spiralling twice, leads to a cavern wall of 30 meters.

Jane Goodall was a gifted human being!

Her love & respect for other species is something rare these days.
She inspired thousands to conserve nature & avoid destroying this planet's ecosystems.

Her departure is saddening but we must continue what she started!

My love, respect, & gratitude!
