The wild thing about TTRPGs is that for the most part you can go "Yeah, I'm gonna review every game one person made and then go ask them some questions about their games." That's just like. A thing you can do. This hobby is so young compared to others, & people are more accessible than you think.

As someone who had worked with DayLITE in the past, I found the royalties system he worked on was... Not great. I ended up making a lot of art for what amounted to nothing. I wrote it off at the time as trying to be a positive member of the tabletop community by having done the project.

Reposting as you probably all saw I worked with Cam on a project to bring disabled NPCs into his games. The content itself was made well over a year ago and whilst I will admit I was at fault for not keeping contact well during the project (I was going through mental and physical health issues-

Never be shy about asking straightforwardly for a contract. Find out your deadline, what exactly is expected of you, what the pay is, when it will be paid.
Asking for these things is not rude, it's a normal part of professional practice. Anyone who responds poorly is waving a red flag in your face!
