Nicolás Maduro, the captured president of Venezuela, is expected to face charges in the Southern District of New York, where prosecutors had targeted him for years, the U.S. attorney general, Pam Bondi, announced on Saturday. Maduro’s wife, Cilia Flores, had also been charged, Bondi said.
Bondi says Maduro and his wife to face a fresh indictment in Manhattan.
The Venezuela president was first charged in 2020 with narcoterrorism and other crimes. That indictment said Maduro and others “prioritized using cocaine as a weapon against America.”

Tulsi Gabbard and John Ratcliffe are testifying in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee this morning. I have some questions.
American war planning usually takes place in highly secure facilities. But the Trump administration planned its strikes on the Houthis using a group chat—and accidentally included The Atlantic’s editor in chief, @jeffreygoldberg.bsky.social. theatln.tc/AmsjsuT6

"Well, Grant, we've had the devil's own day today, haven't we?"

"Yes. Lick 'em tomorrow though."

Today is one of the bad days in American history. Better days will come.

It’s not about Trump supporters. It’s about giving the 75m people who DIDNT VOTE something to vote for

Legitimate discussions on this platform offer that path
It's only powerful if the Trump Supporters are reading what we see and communicating with questions.
It’s amazing to me that politicians don’t commit to post first on @bsky.app and to engage with constituents here

THIS is more powerful than CNN , MSNBC, The Post will ever be.

You can broadcast for 9 mins on a declining medium, or engage here and start a real discussion.

Which is more powerful?

At least five people have been killed by the California fires in what an official called “one of the most destructive natural disasters in the history of Los Angeles.” The risk remained on Thursday for current fires to spread and for other fires to ignite. nyti.ms/3CbOEoD
