Exceedingly Danish.
With Anthony Davis hurting his left hand last night, now is as good a time as any to share my view on why it'd be irresponsible for any team to trade for him.

Why no team should be interested in acquiring Anthony Davis
To put it bluntly, acquiring the talented two-way big man is a road to nowhere.

This was really, really good.

Keldon has been genuinely awesome these last few years.

Saw it up close in Paris too. This man just leaned into his role, and realized his own importance in that role.

That's invaluable to an organization trying to win.
"As a young player, you have some success early on, it takes a lot to sit back and take your ego away from it and say, ‘OK what do I need to do to be able to contribute to this team now?’ ”

A once-reluctant Sixth Man, Johnson is making a mark as one of the top bench players in Spurs history.

The Knicks are in a serious slump since winning the NBA Cup. How concerned should they be?
The good vibes surrounding the Knicks have taken a dramatic and dire turn during their four-game losing streak.

Just filed my trade grades, so stay tuned to Yahoo Sports.

(Spoiler: The Wizards have rolled a not insignificant dice here, but damn it if I'm not at least intrigued.)

Thought this was an interesting look from @msjnba.bsky.social, using the Trae Young trade talk to dig into the tricky roster management challenge of building around stars with warts (which is, y'know, most of them): sports.yahoo.com/nba/article/...
Why Trae Young and flawed stars like him are so difficult to build around
With Young and the Hawks seemingly ready to part ways, let's look at some on-court reasons why the four-time All-Star's tenure in Atlanta could be soon coming to an end.

This raises an interesting question.

Since the US insists on putting their nose in everyone's business, perhaps the entire world should have a vote in who actually leads the nation?

It only seems fair.
If nothing else, the last 10 years have taught me that a disturbing number of Americans are a lot dumber, more racist, & more sexist than I realized. They have to be all 3 - if you're racist, sexist, & not dumb, you still realize that what happens in the US affects the whole world - and vice versa
January 6, 2026 at 3:44 PM
During the 2024 election, Americans were quick to tell people outside of their borders to butt out, since we "didn't have a stake in this".

With everything going on, care to tell us that again?

There isn't a clear definition of what it takes to become a genuine championship-winning superstar, but there are hints of which challenges will prevent good players from reaching that level.

United have become the Chicago Bulls.

Nothing will ultimately change through the firing and hiring of new managers, or signing expensive players.

The culture is rotten.

Victor Wembanyama turns 22 today.

Only 15 more years until I stop writing about him.

(At which point my ass will be closing in on 55....)

Harrison Barnes from San Antonio's 7th to 9th point.

DEFINITE Top 10 play.

It's been 2026 here about half an hour, and so far no major political scandal, or international incident.

Could this be the year?!

Are we in 1989?
The Kings continue strong form with a 25-point win over the Bullets 🔥

This is funny, but it's also extremely accurate.

I've spoken with players who went up against Wemby in Europe, and they all say the same thing. The court shrinks.

It's preposterously difficult to get any offensive momentum going when he's out there.
J-Dub is so real for this. When asked what about the Spurs took the Thunder out of their game... 👽
December 26, 2025 at 6:32 PM
In a few hours, I'll be calling Spurs/Thunder on HBO Max.

Here's basically what I'm going to say for near three hours.

The league should be fucking terrified.

sports.yahoo.com/nba/article/...
Victor Wembanyama is playing limited minutes and the Spurs are dominating. That's not great news for the rest of the league
On Christmas Day the Spurs face a dominant Oklahoma City Thunder squad they have defeated twice in the past two weeks. Does San Antonio need to bump up its timeline?

During the holiday season, I usually tend to gain weight.

Not this year.

Went into December with a weight loss momentum, and carried it through.

Down 31 pounds since late fall, and I have every intention of losing an additional 40-50.

Marvel accurately realized that Evans & RDJ carried that universe, and brought them back.

I don't care if people cry about it undoing the ending of Endgame.

These are the foundational pieces for the franchise. This is the right play.

While he was never earning a ton, I wasn't much of a fan of the Luke Kornet contract this summer.

Thought it was unnecessarily overpriced.

I was just flat out wrong. And I've been wrong for at least a month now.
