Given the newspaper headlines this morning, Labour could have actually delivered a truly meaningful budget. Whatever they did they would be criticised- so why not have done something really decent. Another opportunity lost!

Listening to Tom Swarbrick speaking to the poverty stricken Rachel Johnson is nauseating. Complaining that a ‘herb fed -organic chicken’ costing £32.00 for a mid week meal is hardly an example about people struggling with the cost of living!

Confiscating jewellery from survivors of a war zone makes you look like a fucking Nazi. And the obscene thing is, that is the intention. It's there to look appropriately harsh. Indecent. Filthy. A moral stain. And no-one of good character would have ever proposed such a thing in the first place.

I detest it when brown skinned politicians use their own experience as a brown person to justify some awful policy. They don’t speak on behalf of all brown ppl any more than a far right woman speaks on behalf of all women by virtue of their gender.
