@thewaroncars.bsky.social’s two-part series on John Forester’s Effective Cycling inspired me to dig out my ancient copy of the tome (pre-MIT Press versions). The engineering report style is less readable, the details overdone, the use of racist language (the n-word!) to make a point offensive.
