In this new article, we examined 52 health conditions and found clear evidence of ongoing disparities in access to medicines.
Racial and ethnic disparities in prescription drug use persist across the U.S., with Black populations experiencing lower prescription drug utilization relative to their disease burden.

1/2 The parent study to my thesis research was published in JAMA! This massive five-year effort tracks US health spending from 2010 to 2019 by county, health condition, payer, age/sex, and type of care, showing striking variation in per-capita spending, even between neighboring counties.
