1/ 🚨 Are we denying older adults a life-saving therapy?
Our meta-analysis (32,541 older adults) shows SGLT-2 inhibitors significantly reduce mortality, heart failure hospitalizations, and major cardiac events.
Yet, they remain underused. Why? 🧵👇

Ever heard of the #ObesityParadox in #Cardiology? 🫀 Our new study on Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) explored how BMI, from underweight to class III obesity, impacts key hospital outcomes using data from >3.6M hospitalizations in the National Inpatient Sample.

Thrilled to share my first publication as lead author in The American Journal of Cardiology! Our study challenges traditional fasting before cardiac catheterization—finding no significant differences in key clinical outcomes, but better patient satisfaction with non-fasting.
