@flakefood.bsky.social Loved the lures post. Its in my blood. Me with my Mom (RIP) when I was about 10. I caught several of those. Dad had an seaside business and we fished almost every day. I should post more of my old fishing pictures. I have many.

Everything here was found while bowfishing over the past 10ish years. Last count was somewhere in the upper 100s if I remember correctly. We also have around 20 rods we’ve found that were in working condition and nice enough to keep, but I don’t have a picture of them, 3-5 of them are 400$+ setups. I don’t even bass fish much although I’ve thought about starting a YouTube channel posting videos fishing with only found poles and baits.Posted by Super-Reporter-4528

Pretty lights, blurry picture. Taken at night in the late 70s. Was from a moving ship in the Gulf of Mexico while calibrating our satellite navigation by knowing the position of the oil rig legs. Waiting on a better adapter for my duplicator.

Mound building culture in my state may go back 2300 yrs ago. Of the 70 burial mounds in the state I've seen about 8 of them. Found one on a hike that isn't mapped so I won't say where.

On the beach one summer this was our daily visitor for a week. We named him Nigel being he was the darkest seagull. Look at the Latin term to understand this. I could feed him crackers from my hand.

So many local bands here. Joe Walsh came out of Kent to join James Gang and Eagles. Michael Stanley stayed in CLE. We spawned Chrissie Hydes, Devo and The Black Keys that are well known but NE Ohio has many uncelebrated artists. Here is one of them.
