I made fairy lights a few years (knitted) which our little Siamese claimed. They’re her favourite toys. Making a new batch of them as they’ve all gone missing. Probably something to do with the dogs.

Squishy bear is finished. I’ve added lavender I dried from the garden to the stuffing so he smells lovely.

Had a little friend waiting on the landing for me this morning. He doesn't come upstairs as much as he used to possibly due to his arthritis but it always makes me happy to see him at my door.

Well I guessed one of the killers in Murder before Evensong. Silly storyline but was an easy watch.

Watching a quiz with husband recently & a question was how many of the weapons in Cluedo were metal. I got three - lead pipe, candelabra and revolver. Husband very pleased with himself when he piped up with Iron & Racing Car. Told him I don’t remember murder in Monopoly. Good name for a book 🤔

Husband going to seminar followed by party in London. Told him to sort what he needs couple of days before. He did but left it for me to pack. Made him a list of stuff he’d forgotten. Said he’d sort. He didn’t. So I’m flying round whilst he’s on the phone as didn’t want him to miss his train.

The tiny twosome are in their little nest. It is actually a baby snuggle bag that my son had in his pram as a newborn. It’s covered in their hairs but if I wash it they won’t go back in it. They’re a pair of grubs.

Can‘t remember the last time I wrote a cheque out. Received one from DVLA this morning. Least you can just take a photo of them nowadays instead of posting or taking in to bank. Saves times plus banks are few and far between now.

Our old boy is playful today. He caught the toy the two young cats were playing with and when one went to get it he put his paw up as if to say “No!”

Found a recipe for Banana Chutney in my mother’s old recipe book. Would go nice with Curry. My friend’s dad made delicious curries and always had banana as an accompaniment. I loved it.

Won’t use the BBC Good Food recipe again. I’ll stick to my usual jam recipe in my ancient Good Housekeeping Cookery book. It said to simmer not boil so took forever to set. Also said to seal when cold. Never done that before. Always do it when it’s still hot.

Finally got round to making my Blackberry and Apple Jam. Plate in freezer for setting test and jars in dishwasher to sterilise.
