I used to be a "social media bon vivant" but there ain't a lot of "bon" to be had as in social media vive these days. Bluesky, prove me wrong!
Quality of Rumi braids is going to be the no. 1 class signifier this Halloween.

Watching Love Is Blind: Denver and, like, 80% of the participants have Lyft driver energy. It’s incredibly disconcerting.

The most people have EVER liked Wuthering Heights, the novel by Emily Brontë, was when it gave them a reason to hate the trailer for “Wuthering Heights”, the movie by Emerald Fennell.

Good morning, Bluesky.

I highly recommend taking the time, once a month or so, to send someone a fan letter. Not to me (although that’s fine, too). Just reach out to a stranger* and say: “I love your work.” I did it this week & it felt great, sharing my admiration & awe.

*OK to tell a friend, too.

Something else on which I need to publicly comment, as a self-titled Swiftologist: I love the caption and absolutely despise the ring.

It’s been a long time since I said anything here but I’m catching up on The Gilded Age and I swear to god that people earnestly calling this show good is going to be my villain origin story.

I have to admit, the troll in me is rooting for Andre 3000 to take home Album of the Year for his jazz flute album.

first thought, best thought: Post Malone’s career may be the best evidence that we’re living inside a simulation, because I genuinely like him and cannot help it, but you can’t tell me this isn’t EXACTLY what AI would generate if you asked it to make “really unexpected pop superstar” —

Once of the many things Trump’s re-election has ruined for me is telling babies and dogs “our long national nightmare is over” any time a they are being overdramatic about not immediately getting their way.

I just realized I could describe myself as “your favorite yapper’s favorite yapper” and suddenly, opening Bluesky was essential.

Researching and reporting my story about how truly horrible Facebook has become genuinely rattled me, and changed how I looked at the internet permanently. It's important to understand how messed up they are.

YES! We need to keep the cry in Christmas!!!
The best Christmas movies and music are all a little sad. The problem with a lot of contemporary Christmas media is that it's too afraid to let the problems be too real and the inherent sadness of the season isn't allowed to permeate
I, uh, this might sound weird, but Christmas music makes me really sad. Watching TV these next few weeks is gonna be as fun as I am to be around.
