HBO Max added LAUGHING SINNERS (1931) for Clark Gable’s b'day.

After trying to kill Joan Crawford in their first team-up, here he saves her from suicide.

Gable made a better gangster than Salvation Army officer, but even this moralistic mess couldn't squelch his hot chemistry w/ Crawford. #FilmSky

Sling TV day passes also give you access to TCM movies on demand.

207 films are currently available to watch on-demand by my count, only slightly less than the 220 available on the Watch TCM app. #FilmSky

Sling TV also offers day passes w/ TCM for just $5.99 and 3-day passes for $11.99.

And all include a free cloud DVR w/ 50 hours of recording time, so you can record the LOONEY TUNES shorts that air after you retire for the evening.

It's really a great deal. #FilmSky #LooneyTunes

If you'd like to watch TCM's LOONEY TUNES salute (tonight-Feb 9) but don't get the channel, SlingTV is your best option.

A 7-day subscription costs just $17.99.

Choose the Orange package for $14.99 + add Hollywood Extra (which has TCM) for $3. This is, by far, the cheapest way to watch. #FilmSky

Tonight's 📽 Cat People (1942, dir. Jacques Tourneur), a film that's barely subtextual about a fear of unleashed sexual desire, the 'evil' inside. Irena keeps herself away from people, so that she does not hurt them. But then she falls in love... Beautifully written, by a gay man, DeWitt Bodeen.

While Second City cast mates Dan Aykroyd and Gilda Radner went to NYC to do SNL, the young "Cathy" O'Hara became a regular on the bi-monthly Wayne and Shuster specials on CBC. Shuster was the father of Rosie Shuster and father-in-law of Lorne Michaels.
