I'm not going to get into the rights and wrongs of this particular presidential pardon. I just continue to find it wild that, in a modern democracy, the emperor can decide to absolve his subjects of crimes for which they've been convicted. It seems positively feudal.

I produced this 2-disc UHD limited edition of Tobe Hooper's balls-out crazy The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, featuring a mixture of new and archival extras. Ilan Sheady did the cover art and the whole package, with some very cool extra goodies, was designed by Dare Creative.

My UHD of Watership Down came with this nitfy Black Rabbit of Inlé pin. Very cool!

Time to revisit this. I was a little iffy about it when I saw it at the cinema, but at least I enjoyed it more than Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (I low bar to clear, I know).

Time for a rewatch of this masterpiece. Call me a philistine, but I've grown to like this more than the original.

Those accusing the ICC of being “political” do not fully understand the law.

Post WWII, we in “the West” stipulated a set of shared rules that we believed applied to everyone - enemies, allies and ourselves.

If an ally breaches those rules, the rules have not suddenly become “political” overnight.

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

Came for Aubrey Plaza, stayed for Maisy Stella. Thoroughly wholesome coming-of-age tale of an 18 YO who has a shroom-induced encounter with her 39 YO future self. Directed by Megan Park, who previously made the similarly impressive The Fallout, which you should definitely see if you haven't already.

It can't just be me that's obsessed with the Dancing House in Prague. Love, just love the design. It'd make a great setting for a giallo.
