I work in the voluntary sector (Digital role) and I run music websites in my own time. Charlton Athletic fan, ❤️ Florida trips, cats and I mostly post about music.

I’ve decided that BlueSky is where I will be mostly posting now that Twitter is meh. I’ve given up on Threads as I don’t have any stories to share about being asked to switch seats on planes.

This is the #DolbyAtmos release I’ve been waiting for the most - @stevenwilsonhq.bsky.social’s 2025 mixes of The Who’s “Who Are You” - ‘Had Enough’ and ‘905’ burst out of my Atmos set-up, like audio lava. The layered vocals on ‘Had Enough’ 💋.

👍 @super-deluxe.bsky.social another quality release.

RIP Danny Thompson

He played on so many fantastic albums and will be sorely missed.

RIP Danny Thompson. If you are a fan of #70s / #80s music, you would have heard some of his wonderful bass playing, one of my favourites being @davidsylvian.bsky.social’s ‘The Ink In The Well’ from “Brilliant Trees”.

RIP #StephenLuscombe - one half of the original line-up of Blancmange, who had a string of infectious hits in the early to mid #80s.

RIP Rick Davies of Supertramp, who has died aged 81. What a catalogue of music, from prog to perfect pop…

Happy 46th birthday to The Stranglers “Duchess” single from 1979, still
one of my favourite singles from the era.

Spending the morning rediscovering the synthpop of “New York, London, Paris, Munich” by M, from 1979. There was so much more to Robin Scott’s M beyond the massive hit ‘Pop Muzik’. #70sMusic #80sMusic #MusicSky

Bye spotify - your pitifully low payments to artists and your CEO’s dubious AI weapons funding are the final straw. I’m giving my money to qobuz instead. Hi-res & better royalties, what’s not to love.

Thanks to Shane at @charltonathletic.bsky.social’s club shop, who true to his word, emailed me when The Woolwich retro #cafc top was back in stock (I missed the limited release earlier this year as unwell in hospital). So happy to have this iconic top at last! #90s #90sFootball

I adore ABC’s “Lexicon Of Love” but I love their 4th album “Alphabet City” just as much and the album’s ‘King Without A Crown’ is my most played ABC song.
