If something like that happened in Wilmot, there's no way Wilmot Township can afford that bill. You thought taxes went up last year?

Turn a farm into parking lots & loading docks?
• Sure, happens all the time — the amount of arable land in Ontario is reduced by 319 acres *every day.*

Turn a parking lot into a farm?
• That never happens. Once it's gone, it's gone forever.

Ontario: it's big, but the part that grows crops? Small.

Friday fact: Maple Leaf Foods didn't leave Waterloo Region because they wanted an industrial mega-site. Regional reps keep saying this, but it's not true.

It only required 50 acres. There wasn’t enough water for their needs.

The Region of Waterloo dropped a media release about net-zero emissions by 2050 this week. That's a fact.

What remains to be seen is whether, with an industrial mega-site and population growth to 1 million, is this fiction?
