I still stand by these, even as universities around the world, including my own, brainlessly capitulate to AI.
As promised, here are the slides I shared with students to convince them to NOT use chatGPT and other artificial stupidity.

TL;DR? AI is evil, unsustainable and stupid, and I'd much rather they use their own brains, make their own mistakes, and actually learn something. 🪄

Oh boy, how much do I fancy some biscuits now? But these are gorgeous, surely too pretty to scoff.
Today is National Biscuit Day, and it’s about time that I populated this account with biscuit (cookie) sets from the past few years. Here are some of my favourites. 🧵

First up, a set inspired by the delicious designs of William Morris and John Henry Dearle.

That would mean negative tarrifs, which I don't think is a thing. If you reduce something by more than 100% you wipe it out. I think the correct term is 115 percentage points.

As Liverpool win the Premier League for the second time, they complete the opening of a quite remarkable sequence, 33 years in the making.

This this this:
The purpose of writing is not to put words on a page. It’s to discover *which* words need to be put on the page to accurately express the thing you’re trying to express.
This puts it well & it’s a point I keep making about why using AI to write is so flattening. Writing is the process of working out & refining what you think. If I write an article, I’m not just generating 1000 plausible words. I’m trying to articulate ideas with precision, & challenging myself.
AI is for people who don't want to or can't think. Period.

I write to figure out what I think and how to think about it better.

I'm liking this Blue Sky stuff so far, but I'm mainly stuck following politics feeds, and mostly those I agree with, which is kind of ok, but also not ok, because it's good to hear different voices. Also, it'd be nice to hear about bbc test match special, or electric guitars.

This is where we post pictures of blue skies, right?
