Voice acting is so interesting because really it seems like playing a cutesy mascot for children would actually be more difficult than voicing an action hero. But we don't give the former nearly enough praise.

I still use TV Tropes when I'm researching something new because it's such a convenient, non-SEO way to learn stuff. Just "here's a list of all the main characters, their personalities and roles in the story, on one page. And all the plot spoilers are hidden."

I think I get why I hard-pivoted to magical girls this year. Stories about people fighting against abstract concepts like the darkness inside human hearts, even if they can't fully comprehend it? Mood.
