Glad that @ericboehm87.bsky.social wrote a piece I've been meaning to write: all the times Lindsey Graham has championed surveillance far more intrusive than the phone records of his prosecutors analyzed.

Most important IMO is the way Graham championed phone dragnet.

Undoubtedly dozens of media organizations will write about this case after seeing this thread. Many without citing our scoop. But we don’t have the resources to report out everything we find. If you’d like to fix that, consider a paid subscription to Court Watch www.CourtWatch.news/upgrade

Folks: Lindsey did not just cross out the no-billed charge, tho she epically fucked up the docketing in another way.

There are actually THREE versions of document:

The no-billed indictment as originally docketed. (The fucked no-bill.)

The screengrab below is nuts. "This officer was so indiscriminate about shooting protesters that plaintiff, as a matter of law, cannot demonstrate he was targeted in retaliation for his First Amendment activity."

DO WE NOT SEE THE PROBLEM HERE
6th Cir. holds that because police officer also shot pepper balls at George Floyd protesters who weren't filming police, plaintiff (causing permanent vision loss) cannot show the officer shot him in retaliation for filming.

QI for officer.

Page after page after page was redacted. #foia
We got our decision in August.

The AG said Abbott's office must release some emails with Musk. About a month later, we got nearly 1,400 pages of emails.

I was stoked. Until I took a look at the records. They were almost completely redacted. www.kut.org/politics/202... #txlege #FOIA

Many of the records appeared to be redacted under the Public Information Act's exemption for information related to competition or bidding.

Musk did not respond to requests for comment. Abbott's spokesman said the governor followed the law.

Abbott fought for months to keep secret emails between his office and Elon Musk. Now, hundreds of pages have been released.

I warned that private equity taking over Walgreens would be bad for workers.

This is the private equity playbook: they hollow out businesses, cheat their workers, and drive them into the ground.

Report: Walgreens cuts hourly workers’ pay for 6 major holidays
The hourly employees will only be paid if they work on those holidays.
