it’s impossible not to be tempted to yell “FAFO” and “leopards eating faces” as people who voted for this start feeling the pain

but “welcome back, we missed you, here’s a bucket, we’re putting out the fire” gets us out of the hole faster

“One of our senior senators has said she supports mining, and so this may give her the opportunity to support a really, really good bill that helps mining in northeastern Minnesota,” Stauber said.

Call Klobuchar, demand she get on the record opposing this bill.

Attended the EPA press conference.

When I arrived, I heard that members of Congress were talking to security.

So I walked over and into what turned out to be a private press briefing. Guess anyone can walk into anywhere nowadays. (learned that trick from DOGE)

That’s Sen. Ed Markey in the center.

Oh okay, easy: There are no good-faith arguments to show up for. There, done, byeeeee.
This is an absolutely remarkable memo — and a betrayal of both the Constitution and the American political tradition. In the US, by *explicit contrast* with interwar fascist governments, the state is not supposed to be an extension of the personality of the chief executive.

Hey Minnesota: I'm looking for folks (particularly in Duluth) who want to talk about how changing winter climate has impacted their sense of identity as Minnesotans and changed how they think about winter.

It's for an upcoming @startribune.com column. Hit me up!

So I like this tracker. I like that it has dropdowns.

That made it really easy for me to determine that there's nothing happening on environment, industry, or climate yet. I don't like being in wait and see mode.

You better show us the wrench. If it isn't total withdrawal of unanimous consent then this is all just theater.
No more business as usual. Donald Trump and Elon Musk are imposing pain on millions of people.

Tonight, we’re taking this fight to the Senate floor.

Russ Vought - author of Project 2025 - is up for a vote, and Democrats are using every second to throw a wrench in their plan.

Looks like Bob Kroll is on the short list to be named US Marshal for the State of Minnesota.

He's currently barred from serving as a law enforcement officer in Hennepin, Ramsey, and Anoka counties. I'm sure that will go fine.

I called Atty Gen Ellison's office to urge use of force to physically remove Musk's people from the OPM and Treasury.

Boilerplate: Ellison is working together with other States Attorneys General to Do Something, and he asks that everyone who calls also call their Congresswomen and Senators.

So this morning I called the National Cryptographic Museum and spoke to a gentleman who confirmed:
- Yes, this happened over the weekend
- It has since been fixed ("fixed" were his words, I confirmed that this means the paper has been removed)
Fellow NSA - National Security Agency veterans. Look at what’s happened at the National Cryptologic Museum. They covered up with brown paper the photos of Women in American Cryptology. All in response to President Trump’s anti-diversity executive order.

I get that Heather O’Neill, the president and chief executive of the trade group Advanced Energy United, is just doing her job when she urges the Administration to "deepen our investments in advanced energy solutions" as part of the so-called Energy Emergency. But girl, you just don't get it.
