it pisses me off a bit. a lot actually. how you’re just expected to know and feel if one hobby is right for you. if you’ll enjoy it. if you’ll be good at it. you’re not allowed to experiment because “it’s a waste of money” and “you tried this thing years ago and it didn’t work out”
its relatively harder to start skateboarding, especially if you don’t know anybody in the area who can guide you through it. but i was lucky enough to get into an ice-rink when i was 11, with kids from all classes and ages. i’m so much more confident on the ice and i just KNOW it this time
