Ontario universities are cut to the bone. They're being financially strangled by the Ford government, via a merciless, stupid tuition freeze and the lowest per student funding in Canada, ever. If this gov't is re-elected, one of the best uni systems in the world is dead.
Just received another update from our University Provost on the budget crisis. It includes what I believe is the first explicit statement that there will be some real big job cuts over the next three years. No specifics yet.
