wrong fabric, wrong thread colour, don't know what you're doing, none of it matters just make it not have holes

you know what I want; mending circles, like a knit n natter but mending, make mending normal and fun
outside of a patched green dress socks darning on a place on the calf in such a way that it really shows and the other part of the pair mending in two stages on the bottom winter socks in brown mended first in something not too unmatched in the center but then later more of it wore out and now there is a bigger patch around the first one in way too light yarn. heel also darned in layers of tan and brown twice patched black and white striped dress first in a floral remnant of something second in a small white patch under that one

If the things you are making are largely made up of sustainable components, perhaps it’s worth the extra effort to make them completely sustainable. It’s both good for the planet and a creative constraint that can spur innovation and joy in your creative practice.

Swatching using @kelbournewoolens.bsky.social Lucky Tweed for a sweater project. I’m using 5.5 mm needles for some extra drape. I’m really pleased with the fabric.

I mend because:
- I can extend the life of my garment, which is better for the planet than recycling, and possibly even re-use in many cases.
- I can be creative.
- I enjoy defying gender roles around the skill of mending, and interest in it.
