Just played The Quiet Year, it was anything but! The discovery of old torture devices, the murder of a sacred white dear, plague, earthquakes, and cults. An amazing afternoon!

I’m currently living solo for a week… I’m really not suited to it. It was okay when I had shoots, but the moment it finished, I was back home alone. It’s too quiet. No one to talk to. And I’m realising that I don’t have any friends that I can call late at night just for a chat and some conversation.

Was it a known thing that Avowed is in the Pillars of Eternity universe? Am I just oblivious?

I decided to upgrade to the reforged version of Warcraft 3, and what a difference! I don’t agree with all the redesign changes, but some are fantastic.

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say this game made me who I am today.

I’ve been struggling with loneliness recently. I am going to school again, but am a decade older than my peers, and with the workload I rarely see my friends. So when I got to hang with them the other week it was a massive relief. I hope I have the time in the new year for a social life.

There was a point in my career where I talked to a creative director at a AAA studio who said he "didn't have hobbies" and self-assuredly said he hadn't played video games since the NES. But he knew "people derived joy from spending money on things they love." That conversation haunts me.
