Vholume is a really cool game and it's taking a lot of belief in myself to stick to my guns and continue making something that is entirely the opposite of its design philosophy

I think the answer, as always, is to rip off Dustforce even harder
After playing the Vholume demo and spending more of my time on Onder again, it's really got me thinking about the format of the game. Most people who see Onder footage WANT it to be a linear time attack "speed run" style game

Been listening to the audiobook of The Count of Monte Cristo at work and this is some really good shit tbqh. The way it parallels Dante's life with the ups and downs of French politics and empire is very neat, and plays on some interesting dramatic irony.
