Sometimes i cant help but feel like im the one who is asking for or expecting too much. But then i remember all i wanted was them to say "happy birthday" to me, im like... yeah i guess thats.. not actually a lot to ask for from people that ive been seeing every day for almost 7 years now... lol..

I didn6 even want much i just wanted some kind of acknowledgement that they knew my birthday was happening. All i got eas the following week one of them insisting multiple times "promise we didnt forget!!!! Lol promise we didnt!!!! See, we didnt forget!!!" Etc etc

Only one coworker acrually wished me a happy birthday on time and its the one that actually texts me outside of work so shes all good, we are chill. The rest of them suck tho. Lol.

Oh i guess an important note to add is i literally did mention my birthday was coming up ahead of time. To give them a chance to remember, because i didnt want a repeat of them forgetting it again. And they still didnt remember it. Lol.

The fucked up thing is since this isnt the first time, i was already expecting her birthday to be rememebered and celebrated on time. So i was mentally prepared for it, but the addition of actual gifts involved rubbed some extra salt in the wound that i wasnt exactly prepared for. Lol.

And then my team lead who has a birthday right after mine has hers remembered no problem, and not only that one of my coworkers actually got her gifts? so i gotta sit here and listen to this happen while the hurt from how my birthday was handled is still fresh in my mind. Like am i crazy for that

Am i crazy for getting my feelings hurt when my coworkers very clearly forget about my birthday (not the first time this has happened 🙃) and dont acknowledge it until after its already passed, when they are always really good about everyone elses birthday.
