Works to encourage others to write their past for the future - you have a story. Loves history, cultures, poetry and cats. Books: Battlefield Doc (Korean War), Cherry Blossoms in Twilight (Japan WWII) memoirs. I blog at moonbridgebooks.com
For fiction, need to add storyboarding to the list for making sure all the character names, descrips, special talents, settings stay the same throughout. And if it's a fantasy, still has to make sense. #amwriting

My 93-yr-old dad flying later this week to see all his grandkids. We're hoping his (and their) travel goes smoothly by then. He hasn't flown in a long time.

It's #VeteransDay honoring all veterans - something we can all agree on. My #KoreanWar vet friend was thrilled to have his frontline notes made into a book of stories. He was a medic, amazingly survived, but wanted to honor the fighting soldiers on the ground and all they went through. #memoir

Reminder to call your GOP congresspeople and
@SpeakerJohnson (202-225-4000) to extend ACA subsidies one year so they have time to figure out something better (and affordable) which they have not so far. Not doing so will have a negative, costly trickle-down effect. #healthcare #GOPshutdown

Yes, the US is quite a mess this year and I'm tired of writing to and trolling my GOP representatives. This could affect our family gathering coming up, and daughter's friend's visit this weekend. Give us affordable healthcare! #shutdown

My interesting and delicious dessert at an event the other night. Strings of matcha-flavored soft mochi cover a cream filling on a sponge cake base, by the best Japanese caterers. (Compostable plates & spoons preferred by the venue.) #dessert #matcha

Words matter. DOTUS needs to start reading a dictionary, except he doesn't like to read... which says a lot about him.

Saturday, I and a few others were privileged to be a part of someone's "last blossoming" before lapsing back to unresponsiveness and the dying process. What a beautiful (and fun) 2 hours we had together. The human mind and body are capable of strange miracles. #deathanddying

My stepmom has way more lives than cats do - she's on life No. 12 or so, we lost count. Told her if she wants us to visit, just ask, no need for the scary drama. #healthcare

Looming health insurance spikes for millions are at the heart of the government shutdown
Democrats have demanded that the subsidies, first put in place in 2021 and extended a year later, be extended again.

So the DOTUS is controlling the National Guards, ICE, FBI, others, even the Supreme Court, while GOP Congress quietly arranges their puppet strings nicely. Now military leaders being called to a meeting - should we citizens be worried about that? What's that 2nd amendment really for?
BREAKING: The US Supreme Court sided again with Donald Trump, allowing his administration to withhold about $4 billion in foreign aid authorized by Congress for the current fiscal year as the Republican president pursues his 'America First' agenda reut.rs/3KgfxvA

I can do hard things. Like being with my ancient cat on her dying days. 😥 (She's not in pain.) I have held 4 humans and another cat through this long end journey, I can do this for Tibby, too, sparing her a scary vet visit. #cats #catcare #hospicecare
