Take it from someone who knows… what the person in Brer Bear is doing here is extremely difficult. Not only is their performance top notch, they’re making it look easy. Brer Bear was easily one of the heaviest costumes I wore, and not just the top, but the bottom portion as well.

This was heartbreaking to learn about today. Roger Allers was not only a director who brought us The Lion King and 2014's The Prophet, but also a key player of the Disney Renaissance. We sadly lost a true animation legend, and I hope he will never be forgotten.

I’ve mentioned it before, but one of the things THE MUPPET SHOW did often was pull in a generation of performers that had inspired Jim Henson & the team, & afford them a respect & spotlight that most of the industry at the time no longer did. Edgar Bergen’s appearance is a perfect example.
