this (& a constellation of similar issues) is a big part of why I think that every transfem should have a basic grounding in diying, and approach interactions with doctors in a slightly adversarial stance.
and, y'know, get involved in local communities. share info around. get to know diy sickos.

a lot of doctors will happily prescribe you regimens that basically nuke your libido from orbit and reduce you to complete sexual anhedonia without ever warning you or talking to you about it, and sometimes people talk about feminizing HRT like that's simply the cost of being a woman. it isn't.

sex (and kink) aren't lesser to or seperate from from health and gender. they're part and parcel of it. it's completely normal to want to have a sex drive, or to be able to top, or to produce a lot, or whatever else. those as goals for your HRT are both conceptually valid and extremely achievable
