(6) So, Happy Thanksgiving Bluesky.

(5) Now we are old and do not have many near us so I help (cook, set-up, serve, clean-up) for a Friendsgiving meal for those who do not feel safe celebrating with their families because of who they love. Thanksgiving can be a womderful holiday if we remember it is about being thankful and sharing.

(4) My Mom picked up on this and sarted doing the same thing. When I left active duty I continued the tradition and it as not unusual for there to be 30 plus around the tables. All were welcome. The rule being the same - do not someone be alone; invite them.

(3) Later when I was staff I looked forward to doing the same. My wife and I also hosted soliers at our apartment for dinner later that evening. It was a lot of work but worth it. The only rule was if they knew of a soldier who would be alone they were required to bring them. No questions asked.

(2) Fast forward to my first Thanksgiving in the Army. I was a young (17) PV2 stationed in West Germany. Walking into the mess hall (no DFAC yet) and seeing the Command Staff in their dress uniforms serving us, the lower enlisted, struck a cord.

(1) Lot's of politics today (sigh). Thanksgiving has been my favorite holiday since I was a tween (I'm 8 days shy of 69 years old). The meal, the laughter, the card games, more food... It meant so much more than other holidays - including Christmas.

Today is brought to you by the letter "F" - frustration. Everywhere I turn life is throwing crap my way. Enough; it's time to support the vast majority of Americans and not the 0.001%.

I. Am. Done. Hard stop.

@revsheseesfar.bsky.social Hello Rev. Valori. This is Patti M’s husband. Hope all is well with you and yours.

Never forget. Protesters pardoned; police ignored. It has always been about him; everyone else be damned.

Strange Halloween here. We average about 600 - 650 kids a year but this year we didn’t even get 200. Maybe because it’s Texas and Friday night is high school football. Regardless, toddlers to teens; candy for all.

I thought Japan was our ally; the Prime Minister couldn’t have pointed grandpa towards the koi pond???

It seems only fitting that the Texas Army Guard has the lard azz guys being sent home from deployment. All that barbecue and beer makes one a Fatty McFatface. Gov Wheels should have thought this out better. Fool.

Retired military air traffic controller here. Facility rated during PATCO strike under Reagan. ATC was broken then and no administration since has helped. Sec Trans blaming situation on Dems is BS. End the shut down and fund ATC upgrades and more controllers. Man up dude.

The Ryder Cup debacle will not die. The fans were out of control throwing hatred (and beer) at Team Europe family members.

PGA America did nothing. They were complicit and need to be fired.

Welcome to the new normal. We have become an idiocrocy.

June 2025 cruised Iceland and Norway followed by a week seeing Belgium by rail. I wore my Harris 2024 cap and was treated graciously everywhere I went. Europeans know they still have allies here.

Meanwhile here in Texas it causes meltdowns. I earned the right with 23 years of military service.

Local El Paso realtor changed his sign to one praising Charlie Kirk. Guess that made my search for a realtor to sell our house easier. Thanks ERA on Resler.

Justice Barrett claims overturning Roe hurt a family vacation. Seems the stench of serving on the worst Court in history - beats out Taney Court - might be a larger concern but what do I know.

The comms during the Uvalde school shootings were with children using a students cell phone. Texas refuses to address the problems in opur schools but passess performative laws. Wheels and crew are clueless.

So far the reaction to Cadet Bonespur’s actions seem muted here in Belgium but I wonder how long before the animosity starts showing. Maybe it’s my Harris 2024 hat…

Not a peep from Cheeto Christ or SECDEF Boozer about the Marines who died in NM while on deployment. So much for supporting our Warfighters. 23-year veteran and I am disgusted by the lack of empathy, althought it doesn't surprise me one bit. May their families find peace.

Liberation Day +1 - the stock market sure reacted oddly to liberation. Can't wait to see how folks feel when their bank accounts are liberated of more money for darn near everything. So much winning; it's a beautiful thing.

So; are you feeling liberated today?

Glass purchased in Palomas, MX with whiskey from Canada. Screw his tariffs.
