Personifying seasons is super fun and it's almost #faebruary so here's a #dtiys for you.

Let's yearn for spring together! 💚
This dtiys shows a childlike forest god creating a snowdrop flower with magic. They have warm dark brown skin contrasting yellow glowing eyes looking at the flower. The hair is a light cool green and a mix of textures inspired by both moss & lichen and afro hair with a few bigger, softer curls framing the face and small light brown horns. There's also a few details in their hair like twigs & dark blue berries that might be decoration or part of the hair since it's plant inspired. They wear soft clothes, a yellow and green vest with a cream shirt underneath and knee length bright green leafy pants with white stockings and brown ankle boots with long tips curling upward. They sit next to a tree in the forest on moss covered ground that shows a few remaining patches of snow. Okay, this is the longest alt text I've ever written. ✨️ JANUARY 2026 RECAP ✨️

After struggling with motivation for so many years I couldn't be happier with how this year started. The biggest change was me buying the Huion & moving back to Windows for productivity but I'm also continuing to make art that relaxes me & try to find my niche.

Fun fact & unsolicited #arttip because I don't see this often:

The HSL color picker is amazing! I often switch between 25, 50 & 75 for saturation & brightness, sometimes 15 for a "black" that still contrasts black lines. 98 brightness is great for a softer off white.

Then I choose the color.

I've been listening to the audiobooks of Eragon and Eldest for a campaign my friend is doing, and I wanted to draw Arya looking cool, just as she ought to ✨✨
