"But there’s something sinister about the way brands keep finding bigger, flashier ways to repurpose great moments in art to sell products" is a thing I wrote about a mayonnaise ad because I am in a normal and cool state of mind www.eater.com/24354679/whe...

I would still have to travel 41 miles to Rancho Cucamonga, and then pay $119 to $133 to get from LA to Las Vegas.

Excellent work by SF Gate's food editor Karen Palmer. She looked at this administration's proposed policies and what they could mean for California's food, agriculture, and restaurant industries.

I know books are cheaper and hand delivered to your door step if you order on Amazon. I know. I understand times are rough and things are expensive. I just ask you please consider once in a while to go to a local bookstore. Or visit a library. They'll even order books for you. Please I beg of you.

My team interviewed over 15 Los Angeles restaurant owners & chefs who are worried about their industry.

In some cases, business is down by 80%.

One of the biggest concerns: they don't want to center themselves during SoCal's biggest disaster by asking people to come in for a meal.

To be clear Eater Cities are not going away, they're just reorganizing them internally to guarantee everyone is spread too thin and has fewer resources 🙃
The way they are trying to reorganize Eater right now is, I cannot emphasize this enough, so fucking stupid. We are working to mitigate this impact as much as possible for our unit. And good job Vox Media, you just made us all even more pissed as we head into bargaining our third contract

I asked more questions and published this today:
