Hollowed, paled eyes stared blankly at their partners as they held each other with skeletal arms that bore hanging, decomposing flesh. Some had only gristled skulls for faces, having succumbed to the further reaches of death. Latest twist of our #adoption roller coaster: it all worked out 😭 Two days ago we received a message that she wanted us to adopt the baby—for real this time. We rushed out last night and officially became parents to the little boy we thought we lost just a week ago 💜

We believed we were parents to a beautiful baby for 48 hours—but his real mother chose to keep him. If a mother can keep a baby she doesn’t want to part with that’s always best. We will never regret the time we spent with him or getting to kiss his sweet head.
