Those seeking pardons through official channels have watched while Trump grants pardons to people who never entered the system at all.

“If you’re just an average citizen, you can’t even get in the line,” one lawyer said. “I told my guy he’d probably be better off if he broke into the Capitol.”
How Trump Has Exploited Pardons and Clemency to Reward Allies and Supporters
The president’s second term has brought a flood of clemency for allies and donors — as well as felons, like him, who were convicted of financial wrongdoing.

Mayor Mike can afford to blow $13 million on anything- but his support of Randy Andy is an affront to women and the tens of thousands of young New Yorkers who care about the future of the city and worked to elect Zohran.
"In the weeks before Andrew Cuomo’s mayoral dream went up in smoke on election night, a handful of independent spending groups backed by New York City’s oligarchy spent more than $55 million supporting the ex-governor or attacking his ultimately victorious rival, Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani."
Cuomo Backers Burned $65 Per Vote, Including $13.3 Million From Bloomberg
A blizzard of outside spending on ads, including a spot that linked Zohran Mamdani to 9/11, failed to move voters and may have even backfired.

Breakingviews - Paris accord will defeat fossil fuels – eventually
Ahead of COP30, the head of the UN effectively declared dead the decade-old hope of limiting temperature rises to 1.5 C. US climate denialism impedes the fight. Yet investment favours renewables and China is supercharging the rollout. That points to success, even if it's late.
