I live in no lower MI. Grew up here, but lived in Boston for many yrs. I believe that humanity is going thru a profound change for the better. The real protestors are FOTUS & his admin, putting up a fight against where we are headed. We WILL hold them accountable for their unspeakable cruelty.
Heather Cox Richardson, tonight. Elected Republicans could stop this TONIGHT if they wanted to. It would take SIXTEEN Republicans voting with the Democrats. We could impeach and remove Trump with TWENTY-THREE." It’s We the People who’re going to end this. Peaceably. The courts move too slow.

Republicans act like they will never be out of power. Like they will rule this country forever. Like they will never have consequences for their actions and screw the constitution. Change is coming, it always does. We have learned being complacent, and taking our country for granted got us here

Whatever is in the Epstein Files is so explosive that the leaders of the Department of Justice are openly breaking the law every day to keep us from seeing it. (Just a reminder amongst all the other stuff flying around.)

Buttigieg: Some say you can’t talk about any of the things that were wrong about America because that must mean you hate America. To me, anytime we talk about something that wrong, it’s because some of the finest moments that brought out the greatest character of this country is how we put it right.

It's pretty interesting that "presidential candidates have to move to the center to win the general election" was unassailable conventional wisdom in political science for 100 years and now one party has completely abandoned that to incredible success.

Remember we would always see the “Patriot Front” jumping out of Uhauls, marching through towns? That stopped when ICE got started, I just can’t figure that out

I felt bereft when Steve Jobs died. He wasn't perfect (no one is), but he changed our world. Little did we know the extraordinary role phones would play in discerning the truth of what actually happened. The Administration can lie all they want, but phones record the facts. We're watching you, ICE.

@alyswall.bsky.social Thanks for follow. Your profile pic told me I need to introduce Shelby. She's this woman's best friend.

.@PabloReports: Stephen Miller seems to be operating sort of as a shadow president at this point. Is there any legal liability he could face at the end of this presidency?

Ryan: There’s going to be legal—and I think criminal—liability for multiple members.. certainly Stephen Miller.

Actor Ronald Reagan, backed by Nancy, elected President. 👿 Greed has always been part of our history, but Reagan advanced cowboy individualism, economic inequality, increased natl debt, was anti-union, cut social services, ignored AIDS epidemic, & more. He played a big part in where we are today.

The message from the White House this morning is that, once again, it falls on ordinary American citizens to remain calm and professional when dealing with the heavily armed agents of the government because they are very emotional and might fly off into a murderous rage at the slightest insult.

The agent responds, "Have you all not learned from the past couple of days?"

"Learned what?" she asks

Then he knocks her phone out of her hand

When an esteemed and loved member of a community falls ill, many people step up to the plate to help. We sorely need this now as our country is in danger of being taken over by authoritarianism. We need other countries, members of NATO, to stand by us, do whatever is possible to support democracy. 😪
