No mechanism for local refusal. The EO doesn’t ask how AI might reproduce inequity—it assumes that if the rollout is fast enough, no one will bother to check. #aiinedu #aiineducation #AIEthics #techquity

📅 Great AI use case for my calendar! From a PDF of our district calendar for 25-26 I asked ChatGPT to write a Google Apps script to add all the non-instructional days/holidays to my Google Calendar. It worked beautifully. Pro-tip, specify your time zone or dates may be off. #EduSkyAI #EduSky

A gentleman spent 10 hours shoveling an ice skating course.

Each night it’s filled with people out enjoying the evening.

Community moments are neat.

Every few months, I write an opinionated guide for general purpose users about which AI to pick, especially for newcomers.

Here is my brand new one, which I actually had to update multiple times in the few days I was writing it. Things are changing fast. open.substack.com/pub/oneusefu...

Education unlocks agency.

AI can provide incredible ways to learn and also help you teach about our power as citizens.

A few ways you might take advantage…

1. Submit bills and have them broken down into real world implications that are easy to understand.

For mid-year 1:1 check-ins, I used the Voice Memo app to record the conversation. That generates a transcript. The transcript is then used in my fav #AI platform. (@claude.ai fwiw)

Used those transcripts to provide notes back based on our discussion. No one took notes - we just had a convo.
