KFF's estimate that out-of-pocket ACA premiums will increase if enhanced tax credits expire by an average of 114% has been widely reported. But, it varies a lot, especially by income. Here's what increases look like in dollar terms -- from $378 at $18,000 to $1,836 at $45,000.

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today we have 735 new design patents, a new mayor of NYC, and a group of spineless senators. I'm going to celebrate the first two, starting with D1101354, issued for an inflatable costume.

If you're going to do something today, at least be fabulous.

Republicans have destroyed health care in our country. Millions will go without care, and people will die. Yet again, Republicans have shown their priorities begin and end with helping billionaires. Americans won't forget it the next time they go to the polls.
UPDATE: The Senate votes 53-47 to shoot down the Baldwin amendment to extend ACA funds for 1 year. A party-line vote with every Republican rejecting it.
An important vote in this series: Tammy Baldwin’s proposal to extend ACA expiring funds for 1 year. It’s structured as a motion to table (i.e. scrap it from the amendment tree). But it’ll show the appetite (or lack thereof) in the Senate to address this issue.

OH REALLY.

Let's recall that between 2010-2017, House Republicans voted 100 times to repeal the ACA. 100! And repealing the ACA was one of Trump's top priorities when he was elected in 2016. He's railed against it ever since. The GOP will not help Americans with health care. Nope, not ever.

It’s not enough to simply thank our veterans for their service.

Millions of them rely on SNAP and the ACA.

Many struggle with PTSD and worry about access to mental health services.

Today, on Veterans Day, let’s renew our commitment to keep fighting for those who fought for us.

But many in Congress are stopping the VA from flagging when a veteran is at a heightened risk of harming themselves or others, and therefore shouldn’t have access to a gun.

Making guns more easily accessible to those in crisis is catastrophic.

Since 2006, veterans have died by suicide nearly 20 times more often than soldiers have been killed at war.

Veterans deserve more than empty words. They deserve leaders who work to protect them.

The Trump regime is ruining America’s most valuable alliances and international partnerships.

The level of trust needed to do high level intelligence sharing is rare, and Five Eyes cooperation has been a major asset.

The US chose to throw it away, harming its own power and security. And for what?
