One of my favorite things about teaching online is how students openly question the relevance of the feedback I spend hours on for them...

The fact that this 'journalist' admitted to using AI for research really highlights that 'oh I just use it to help me write, not do the writing for me' is a line of bullshit. Using AI at any step of your work simply spreads AI poisoning everywhere.

Nobody told me that the toughest part about doing a PhD wasn't the do your research on your own - it's having to sit in outdated and disorganized classes that suck the life out of you and then mustering up the energy to work on my passion projects outside of that...

Doing a PhD in literature was a dream I spend my days reading, writing, and teaching, engaging with the ideas that baffle and fascinate my brain. Moving to a new city for this has been tough, though. Building community inside academia is taking longer than I expected.
