There is an ideological problem for the Conservatives here. You can be in favour of free expression in a democratic society, or you can be in favour of government oversight of academic inquiry. You can't be both.

This is one of the best statements in the legislature in a very, very long time. It has the added benefit of being 100% accurate.

Well worth your time.

Thanks, David.
Danielle Smith claims flying to Florida to pose with Ben Shapiro is “going into the lion’s den”.

The truth is, it’s a trip to a Republican safe space, a far-right fundraiser & more about pumping the Premier’s ego than promoting Alberta.

Albertans shouldn’t be on the hook to pay for it. #ableg

This is the clearest evidence yet that the UCP considers itself a northern wing of the MAGA movement. From the leader, herself.

I suspect there are serious national security discussions about cutting Alberta out of foreign relations entirely, after hearing this.
~Here is the full Breitbart interview confirming Smith asked the U.S. adminstration to "put things on pause" to help Poilevre get elected as PM as she believes he aligns with Trump on many issues and the "new direction of America."

Leading expert on tyranny👇, offering some hope that the populist fever is breaking.

Next steps are critical.

Conservative & moderate leaders need to re-normalize pluralism by pushing back & re-erecting guardrails. Progressives need to provide space & cover.

True in Alberta as it is in America.
Something is shifting. They are still breaking things and stealing things. And they will keep trying to break and to steal. But the propaganda magic around the oligarchical coup is fading. (1/2)

An undisclosed third party will deliver a confidential report to the premier about her own office's alleged involvement in a procurement scandal and cover-up.

That should clear the air.
