I'm no expert but a lot of young people use TikTok is my impression and this kind of sucks. Like my friend's teen daughter who posts her fun dance videos and got millions of likes! 😓
Folks trying to act cool and aloof about the TikTok ban sound genuinely idiotic. If you don’t get why it’s a devastating and dangerous precedent, that says way more about you than the people lamenting its loss. I learned so much on that app. I saw the funniest shit of my life there. Shit sucks.

I signed up awhile back but messing around with BlueSky now and accumulating followers. Not looking for massive numbers or anything, just people I know. Never used Twitter to a huge degree, except for work. Signal to noise sucked. Worse now. Use FB for keeping up with friends. So... why use BlueSky?

One teeny tiny thing about BS (heh) is that unlike other sites I have open in my browser it doesn't show new notifications unless I refresh. Of course I get a notice on my phone so no big deal.
