I don't know who needs this info but Ticketmaster seems to block Rakuten Amex card. Transactions are declined and called Rakuten and they see no declined transactions. Using different Amex card made it go through immediately

BILT 2.0... おもったより複雑だ。fee はかからないが、rent/mortgageのポイントを回収するためにはfee相当のBILT cashを稼がないといけない、と理解。BILTの提携パートナーのポイントを1xでバリューしているなら、たとえば$1000の spending で $1333 までの rent をカバーできるので、常に 1.3x のボーナス (up to rent amount) なカードとも解釈できる

BILT 2.0... おもったより複雑だ。fee はかからないが、rent/mortgageのポイントを回収するためにはfee相当のBILT cashを稼がないといけない、と理解。BILTの提携パートナーのポイントを1xでバリューしているなら、たとえば$1000の spending で $1333 までの rent をカバーできるので、常に 1.3x のボーナス (up to rent amount) なカードとも解釈できる

It's just a rumor but if it's true BILT 2.0 will be a no-go for me. I guess most people use it just to pay rent/HOA then buy Amazon reload etc. 4 times to get points, and that's why it parted ways with WF. Still have to wait for the official launch though. www.doctorofcredit.com/rumor-full-d...

Little annoyance: Rakuten Amex card doesn't let you change the statement cycle so whenever you apply for it would be the statement close date. I'm stuck on closing 18th, with due 12th. Wanted to line it up with closing on 1st to autopay on 18th like my other cards, but oh well.

Opened Amex Business Checking account. Signed up purely for the 50K SUB with $10k deposit, but earning 1.3% APY and 0.5 MR for debit card isn't that bad. Considering a full move from Mercury since I don't use any of Mercury's fancy features like rules, invoicing and wires.

Opened Amex Business Checking account. Signed up purely for the 50K SUB with $10k deposit, but earning 1.3% APY and 0.5 MR for debit card isn't that bad. Considering a full move from Mercury since I don't use any of Mercury's fancy features like rules, invoicing and wires.
backdoor IRA conversion done. It's annoying that SoFi still doesn't let me do this self-service, have to initiate a chat then manually fill PDF and submit. Vanguard is pretty easy.

ok, Amex rep says it's ineligible because it's not single $200 purchase. The offer says "spend a minimum of $200 in one or more purchases" and my interpretation (and experience with other offers) was split payments totaling $200 qualifies, but the rep is persistent that it has to be a single charge.

rebuildfmでも言っていた記憶があるが、今PCのメモリ価格が急騰しているおかげで、普段は高いと言われているMacのメモリ増設時の価格がマイルドに見える現象が発生しているように思える。コスパ的に見てもパソコン買うならMacを買うのがベストな時代が来るのかも知れない
Oops, the Grubhub UI really confused me as if I had $2.87 credit with them so I applied to the order, but it was actually redeeming my Amex points for $2.87 with 410 points, which is a pretty bad rate. Glad I noticed it immediately and asked chat agent to reverse it, phew.
