I get that it's a game balance thing, but that doesn't stop me from feeling some type of way when the weapon I did an entire quest line for, with all this lore and hype surrounding it, gets outclassed in every way by something I literally pull out of a toilet 20 minutes later.

What really worries me about the state of the games industry in 2025 is that 2024 had an ENORMOUS number of solid games from mid-size, AA studios completely fail to sell. Not GOTY contenders, but good fun with an audience in mind.
Many under 500 user reviews on Steam. More still under 100.
